A close relationship and deep respect for the natural environment surrounding define this house located in the Costa Brava. It is a weekend haven that risen from the tress to retreat from the city and enjoy the local beauty.
Restrained construction with a self revealing geometry, hangs right from the limit of the cliff. The house’s envelope, a combination of basalt and timber, is designed for maximum camouflage and integration. The floor to ceiling windows on all four sides of the house, frame the landscape views.
Kitchen, dining room, and living room are organized in a open space that connect to a great outdoor porch, a continuation of the house that allows the spaces to grow with real useful square meters. The inner court yard emphasizes the idea of a progressive entrance from the exterior, and distributed natural sunlight to all the adjacent spaces.
Both in the day program and the private bedroom program, there are no wall partitions, creating an open space and an apparent fluidity. As if all the elements decided to work as whole, these homogenize to create a contagious harmony.
